The Changing of the Guard was a lovely, bittersweet end to the book.

The Voices of El Dorado started out creepy, but the end was a little anticlimactic.

The Twilight Road was the only other story that I remembered a little, but I'm not sure why - it was very short and left a lot of questions.

I liked The Shadowy Third very much (except for the bit of casual racism, which one almost has to expect in such an old piece of writing). Racism aside, I found it a delightfully chilling story, very well written and long enough to get a good feel for the setting.

Man, The House of the Nightmare was creepy. Not at first, but the whole dream thing was quite terrifying for me.

I found An Uncommon Sort of Spectre nicely twisty. Hopefully the Baron will straighten up and become a decent person - though I'm not holding my breath.

A Pair of Hands was lovely - sweet and gentle. I've read it in a different anthology, but I forgot how nice it was.

The Lake was the reason I bought this book, and it was as haunting at age 30 as it was at 10.

Poor Little Saturday was beautifully written, as all of Madeleine L'Engle's work is, although it left me with more questions than I like.

On the Brighton Road I found confusing and haunting.

Lost Hearts is a story that I know I've read at least twice in the past, yet I remembered nothing about it. This go round, it was slightly chilling, but didn't pack the punch I was hoping for.
