Don’t recommend switching from erotica to reference. I found myself anticipating the professional book binder to do the unspeakable to his student…well, let’s see how this plays

Really enjoying this book I think mainly because I enjoy the hobby of bookbinding and everything that the author talks about (so far) is something I'm familiar with.

A delightful respite in the tactile world of books.

I am still savoring every short session with this fine memoir, but I have very few left before it is done.

I am still rationing this book , reading only a few pages at a time and willing it to be longer. There is nothing spectacular described, just the artistry and industry of book conservation. Wilcox tells tales on herself - the errors she made and the experiences trying to engage school children in the bookbinding process.

Wilcox is comfortably into her apprenticeship. She describes the acquisition of skills and knowledge in a straightforward and engaging manner. I am intrigued and envious.

Another carefully rationed section of 26 pages, detailing the painstaking care taken not only to repair books but also to make the tools to do so.
