I don’t understand said gift Chad is giving her. Is these words supposed to drive her out of the game? Because she’s too kind to be in it like middle said before he exited the game.

Who is the person reading “their” story (“to read about what we did is…a discomforting experience.”). This person (female?) visits his apartment every day between noon and two that he cannot see because of the rules.

What is really going on here?
Current day Jolyon has a noon visitor to read his story about the worst year of her life. Curious, who is she
