This should be used as supplemental material. Have a friend or a teacher, most likely a teacher, to help you with the nuances of the language. For example, in these first few pages, the word for dozen is a new concept in the Mandarin. I was confused when I looked at the answer key to see the word for hit being used. There was one mistake when doing the exercise so I advise to have a teacher help with the nuances.
