Status Updates From Une histoire de France par ...

Might regret picking this one up. Might DNF. I just feel like I need a history/culture read to get me out of my reading slump.

This book is annoying me. I've read some great history books lately which have managed to be entertaining + clear. This book takes a similar approach to the one about Germany, picking different stories from the chosen countries history and trying to cobble together a narrative. But the writing is so hard to follow!!! Too few dates, too many undefined french terms, too little cohesion between topics. Annoying!!!!!
