Status Updates From The Beautiful Indifference

I have just finished the first short story and am in love with the wordsmithery of Hall. She is a master. This short story is steeped in the dialect and topography of north Cumbria which gives me a thrill. I am especially taken with Hall’s notion that there is a lingering echo of generational trauma spanning back centuries for the families (and horses) that hail from the borderlands.
