The Circular Ruins: My favorite of this batch. The ending was fascinating and thought provoking | Death and the Compass: Skipped, as I had read it previously (it's very good though) | The Life of Tadeo Isidoro Cruz (1829-1874): Fine. One of the weaker entries of the collection | The Two Kings and Their Two Labyrinths: Only a page and a half but still good | The Dead Man: Pretty good but nothing mind-blowing.

The Aleph was really great, the Streetcorner Man was really great, and the Approach to Al-Mu'tasim was good. The collection's titular work, the Aleph, reminded me of Borges' work in Ficciones, dealing with the infinite and endless. The Streetcorner Man was an interesting western short story about a knife duel which I enjoyed, and the last work was a fictional review of a fictional story that was neat
