Status Updates From A Room With a View

So far so good. I enjoy the writing style, appreciate the gentle story setting. Summering in Italy sounds great rn as I’m typing away in middle of winter.

I was prompted to read this book after watching the latest Wuthering Heights trailer and listening to charlixcx’s chain of love song. It reminded me how much I enjoyed pride and prejudice and similar commentary on class and marriage.

reading most of these sentences just muttering *you could not teach writing of like this*- truly having the same feeling reading this as when I read giovanni’s room for the first time, how does one come up with sentences as beautiful as these and how does forster do it so well?? definitely a prose that takes timeee to read and demands all attention to figure out what’s going on tho
