I'm actually getting in a fair few more pages read than my usual stints of reading and it's paying off for my appreciation of the story and the characters.
Is it Booker Prize Winning good? I don't care, and I don't think most people should either, you either like it for what it is or you don't - it's position as a prize winner does not hold some ineffable thing worth extra time. Too many reviews harp on this point.
