Status Updates From Pale Fire Publisher: Vintage

Studying what my editor would do to me if I continue to write academic essays in the style of Foucault and Woolf’s love-child.

Notes for Bookclub: started by reading one canto and then the corresponding commentary but was finding Kinbote a bit insufferable at times so circled back and read the poem in full before continuing on with the commentary.

Notes for Bookclub: Not far into reading the forward I realized the vibe reminded me of Interview with the Vampire (derogatory). Have an abhorrence towards books of this era in which new paragraphs are few and far between and solid blocks of the text are the norm. Also, I get it, the author knows what an adjective is... Canto One was much an improvement to the Forward.
