I was really excited to read this book, as I thought it would be a bit of a detour from Steinbeck's usual novels. Another reason is because Steinbeck is such a wise person when it comes to America and its ideals, that reading a book about him travelling would in no way shape or form be boring. Like Wayward Bus, he ralks about the profound restlessness of US citizens, which is not surprising
