A hard take from pagan to the religious. My first feel of the book’s rationale is literature progresses from the pagan to the Christian. But I’m thinking that this sort of narrowed argument leaves open the natural progression continuing from christian to a scientific era. Perhaps by end of book I may find the the very erudite author pulls it together into a more inclusive literature — still developing….?
