I am not going to question it if the plot takes any weirder turns.

The internal misogyny is so thick it's creepy.
It's like in the air it's there but the words keep persuading you that it's 'alright', that thinking this way is 'right'.
Gosh, the insanity.

God I would love to talk to R. Lee Smith and learn about the stories that live in her mind. When I started watching Lost with Casey, in season one I told him, “you might think you know where this is going, but you can’t even image how this story will unfold.” I feel the same way here. This story is long and winding and fascinating.

I wasn’t convinced at first. But, I figured the “worst” book my favorite author has written will still be a good book. However, things really picked up 300 pgs in. I initially thought I didn’t find certain relationships compelling because they weren’t written to their full potential. Now I see that I didn’t find them compelling because I wasn’t supposed to.
