Status Updates From A través del Islam

Ibn encounters Jerusalem as a part of his journey and mentions finding the asylum and birthplace of Jesus. This plus the addition of the survival he endured in Damascus throughout a plague that killed 24,000 made for a very intriguing two chapters.

Fascinating two chapters depicting Ibn’s travels through Egypt in 1325. Sometimes hard to put together the narrative due to it being translated from Arabic. But super cool to read about the saints he ran into and the navigation of getting through the desert of Egypt that he had to endure.

After the first chapter of the book, I’m very intrigued with the travels that he has made. This book so far has shaped my historical thinking skills and has allowed me to view God moving through someone from the past.
