Status Updates From Crazy Brave

Omg this book is so beautifully written. From telling the narrative of systematic racial oppression, to teen pregnancy, to in-law issues. Such a compelling story and broke my heart.

This is such a painful account of how the world we grow up in just makes you gaslight and not trust yourself and how it tries to fit you into a mold, blocking off other ways of knowing, your instincts, your feelings.

The writing of this is amazing. I wish I could listen to Joy Harjo reading it, cause her saying her poems in the audiobook of An American Sunrise was so good!
