Status Updates From Vulpi (Thyla, #2)

OK so yeah, another civilian learns your secret and you think they're just gonna keep their mouth shut because they have nothing better to do? You may as well announce it to the whole freaking school at this point. And another thing: why has the quality of writing dropped so damn much in this book? It's making it a real chore to read. It's choppy and jerky and dialogue isn't introduced properly. And I hate Cat.

I'm still waiting for something to actually happen, or more specifically, for Cat to have some action... yawn. I'm continuing because there's a promise of action soon.

This just isn't doing it for me. Tessa is incompatible, though I give Gordon kudos for including a character like Delphi. Everyone's standing around saying, "Oh no, they've taken Rhiannah!" and looking at each other pathetically instead of actually doing anything about it. I'm actually a little bored.

I have a couple of things to say here. One) I've spotted two spelling/grammar errors. On p86 Dunalley is spelt Dunally (though I'm sure it's through no fault of the author), and on p181, there's a line where Cat starts speaking, but there's no open quote mark. Other than those two small details, I am thoroughly enjoying this book. I've only just met Him but oh my goodness I love him already. Kate you are brill. x
