First chapter done. I can feel how something bad is upcoming, im sort of scared

Ok the Condor is apparently one of the ships from the fleet the main characters belong to. Finally stuff is sort of happening- the entire ship was trashed and there is evidence that the crew went crazy before they died. I guess that’s mysterious? I mean, what in sci fi could account for a crew landing on an alien planet going crazy, besides only like 2000 things?

We have found The Condor. What The Condor is or why we were looking for it, I have no idea. It’s possible it was mentioned very briefly earlier at some point. But the author is making it seem like this is a Very Big Deal.

So far this sucks. There’s no main character and it’s about a crew of a space ship exploring a barren planet. I’m 17% done - shouldn’t something have happened by now?

There are some fun ideas, but the first 20% was a slog and it took a while for them to emerge. I couldn't tell you anything about the characters except maybe their titles, they are really only there to hypothesize about what might be happening - that's fine, the premise is solid, it just takes away a layer when the characters in a story are completely 2D.
