“Why aren’t you doing it?….”
“When can you do it? Can you do part of it? How can you plan toward it? We all need to ask those questions every 5 years, then act on the answers.”

Beautiful descriptions, delicious food (somehow prepared from nothing but the land & her minimal stores), great ingenuity in terms of creating shelters by using existing material (as well as fixing countless decrepit cabin woodstoves). I am enjoying the narration of Aud’s adventures. This book about paddling Alaska feels slightly more technical than Hawaii, but still absolutely beautiful and incredibly inspiring.
