I swear I used to like historical romances but now they just irritate me. The main female character could literally be replaced by a sock puppet and you would never be able to tell the difference.

The relationship building in this is pretty poorly done to this point, and with no other plot points happening, the last ~80 pages I’ve read to this point are dreadfully boring. Instead of having the two main characters have conversation on page, the MMC just thinks about the great conversation he previously had with FMC. 😤
