Athanasius really outdid himself with the 2nd Letter to Serapion. An excellent summary of the first and presentation of why the Son and the Spirit cannot be creatures but must be God.

Read the section Didymus On the Holy Spirit. One of the best treatise on the Holy Spirit I have read. Thought provoking, Scripturally filled, and logically coherent. A classic for its time, and today.

The First Letter to Serapion by St. Athanasius was excellent. Really enjoyed it. Looking forward to reading the Second Letter, which aims to be ‘a brief and readily accessible arsenal from which they [“the brothers”] can both answer those who ask questions about our faith and refute the impious’ (2.1.1, p. 106)
