Progress. Slow, but still progress…

Imagine watching Star Wars, but instead of imagery, sounds, actors, all you have is a computer code printout from every droid and starship in the film. That's what this book's version of the Armenian Genocide is like. Historically crucial, meticulously documented, but dry as hell to read. Maybe it's better this way.

Thank goodness for chapter endnotes that I am definitely not reading.

Not sure I'm going to manage to finish this book. It's so dry—trudging through the desert of the bureaucracy of genocide. Like, I know it's an important read, but...

Man, this is NOT a history book for general audiences.

I sure hope I can mostly ignore all the abbreviations and names of various archives and so forth. I'm no historian! Just an amateur, right?
