Lots of good things (that I need to fact check).
The first 200 peace corps members were outfitted in jeans upon being established by JFK in 1961. The Buffalo, NY school district banned jeans in I think the early 50s. And there used to be something called the Denim Council, later renamed JEANSWEAR COMMUNICATIONS!

This is a good book in terms of describing the cultural changes surrounding jeans, but at worst, there are times where it reads like a Wikipedia article with how information is displayed.
