I confess, I would not have gone with a recipe from Little Black Sambo. Just saying.

Flipping through this book, looking at recipes, reading excerpts of stories that inspired each recipe. I just read a lovely excerpt from Joan Bauer's Rules of the Road and then read the grilled cheese recipe that accompanied the half-page of text. At 8:30 in the morning, I now have a huge craving for grilled cheese with tomato and bacon on oatmeal bread. Yum! And a quote from Barbara Taylor Bradford. Nice!
