I can’t help but feel that the film is now a master example of a superior adaptation. So far there are no book characters I am wishing were in the film. I’m not disappointed with how scenes were combined for the film/moved/omitted. And it is a really great example of the energy of its time and also kind of sad that the fuckwittage Shazza hoped would be over by now has not stopped.

not me cackling on page 15; can anyone explain why it has taken me this long to read this book?!
