This is an excellent book about a shocking and little- known aspect of American history: the continuation of chattel slavery in the 20th century. A must read.

STUNNED/shocked & challenged deeply -
Born around 50 years after slavery had been made illegal in America... and yet He was sold into slavery in 1916 @ 5 years old...
tortured & abused him from age 5 - 14 ...
he became a "sold out" Christian he became a preacher... & forgave everyone in his past... other than Christ himself, I know of no other GRACE filled story that matches this.
Inspiring & convicting ... sLr
