The mistaken glances, the belief that you are protecting a friend, only to completely foul up because of a misunderstanding. It’s sweet and so very human.

I just finished chapter one. There’s this slow east nostalgia to the voice of this story, like watching an old movie filmed in sepia tones that is both enchanting and relaxing.

*sobs* Persuasion inspired books are always so heartrending! :(
