The action has slowed down significantly since the beginning of the book. Just getting used to other characters at the moment.

wow, great start..

I picked up this book because I wanted a taster to what I might find in the first book "Full Blooded". This prequel is interesting and I like the introduction to Jessica McCain. She is a really stubborn and strong character - one whose story I am keen to follow into the next book. "Blooded" is at the bottom of my booklist, sadly, because I'm so enthralled with others. However, I will pick it back up soon.

Oh, nice decision dad. It was about time. Seriously.

She was just minding her own business. Wtf is up with these guys? If her dad doesn't let her leave after this, I'm gonna kick his ass.

Her dad really refuses to see the danger she's in. I'd want to get the hell out of there, too.
