This was first published in 1955 and when I tell you this chapter is detailing her first flight, and you're reading about all the little luxuries and delights of flying Back In The Day... We used to be a society.

I am enjoying this book thoroughly; surprised by a comment from a girl who didn't. I was prepared to notice her claim that 'there was no mystery' but there is: the unexpected way her Grandma sends puzzles with her. I was even prepared to see where she thought 'it didn't date well', although a book SHOULDN'T be more modern than 1955, when it was published! Again I disagree wholeheartedly. It flows and compels.
