While Darker Than You Think isn’t a mystery in the classic sense — it does contain many of the captivating elements of Noir. Yet it lacks one of the essential appeals of Noir: its protagonist, Will Barbee, has strikingly little agency. Most of the crucial changes in his life occur outside of any decisions he makes, and such decisions as he does make often turn out to be ineffective or to have unintended consequences!

Ooooo the "mostly mundane" is quickly convoluting into "wonderfully weird" right before my very eyes (or in this case ears)!
Jim Meskimen, the audio performer, has a voice and style akin to those in old film noir mystery narratives, very atmosphere enhancing and well suited to this occult tale first published in 1940 in "Unknown" magazine.
Love the slow burn...they just don't write 'em like this anymore!

Enjoying the flawless audio performance of this paranormal horror tale of lycanthropy and witchcraft in a mundane setting with engaging characters who are also, otherwise mostly mundane.
Revolted by the murder of a young pet ☹, but do understand the significance of the event as it pertains to plot progression (·•᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ ).
