I’m struck by how zero sum game Elliot’s situation is— how anyone’s situation would be. In a way, it would’ve been better if Finn had never said the words at all. There is no best case scenario. Even if nothing had happened there is no best case scenario.As for “honesty,” I’m with Sylvia. The truth accomplishes nothing but more destruction, the last thing anyone needs right now.
