I’m about half-way through this book and find it quite engaging. I really appreciate how Rachel Neumeier layers the story. Just when I think I’ve got it all figured out, there’s always something new to discover. Here for the ride.

Almost done, but not sure if I will continue with volume 2. Nothing much happens, lots of talking, lots of repetition. I'm bored.

Well, this is going much better starting at the beginning. Who'd've thunk it? 🤭 But this is so far pretty much Tuyo but in space. And I already read Tuyo.

Also, are these people androids? Cyborgs? Humans or humanoids? I have no clue. Are they from different planets? Do they just permanently live in space? Why were they fighting each other? The world building still could be a lot better.

Crap. No wonder I was so confused and found the world building so lackluster. I started reading the second one. 🤦🏻‍♀️ The hazards of having covers that look way too similar on a small black and white Kindle screen.

Going to actually start this one now. But I'm already underwhelmed by what I read of part 2 so far (up to 9% with skimming), so hopefully I can shake that off and give this a fair try.

This is a lot of mumbo jumbo right off the bat, and I'm even attempting to pronounce or remember these made up words, or what the different genetic lines of whatstheirnames do or don't do. 😂
