One of the most beautiful and perspective holding book I have read of a culture in Malaysia, particularly of Muslim countrymen and women in the East Coast! Nostalgic, relatable, intriguing, stimulating.

I don't like short stories because I always feel somewhat disconnected. And then some of the stories kind of confusing maybe because I wasn't familiar with the Pantai Timur culture. It's hard to relate to any of the stories. It tried to be as Malay as it could but I just don't feel it. It seemed forced.

The Rainstorm left me... confused. What on earth did I just read?
