So far, so good. The first 40 pages are a summary of the development of codependency as a concept in the addiction treatment world, peppered with a few of the author's personal lived experiences. What I especially like is that this author goes beyond the limitations of the disease model, to include wider societal forces (religion, culture, gender....) as significant influences.
