Gigantic TWIST!

At first I thought things were getting a little too convenient, but then Underwood threw a nice twist in there. Curious to see this through and see if I'm in for the whole series or OK with stopping here.

Down the rabbit hole.... (not literally)

A crazy action scene and then things are about to escalate even more. So far, (not surprising, given the theme) the book seems like it'd make a good movie (except for the way that I heard a lot of the Ready Player One easter eggs were toned down due to lack of rights in its movie).

The author makes a good choice for believability. Also, now I'm really curious what the end-game is.

The twist isn't too surprising, but makes the earlier motivations of the character a little odd. Or maybe it'll turn out to be a double-twist. We'll see.

About to get an explanation into what is going on....can't wait until next time.

Ree is starting to get the hang of things, even though she's a low level character (in RPG parlance), limiting her ability to be helpful. So far I'm finding this to be a more enjoyable book in the vein that was trying to be tapped by Ready Player One.

An odd occurrence, but it wasn't time for the plot to start yet, so we're still in "get to know your main character and friends" mode. So far it's fine. I think one of my GR friends (maybe Dara?) wasn't a fan of the book. We'll see how it turns out for me. At this pace, I'll probably be done in a week or two.
