(after ch. 17) Oh dear... that's really not good. The Spirit Hunters are mad, the Marquis is up to no good, and now Eleanor's bag (with her money and her letters from Elijah) are all gone! Not to mention Laure (who had come back to see Eleanor) was almost killed!

(after ch. 8) And so we say farewell to Mrs. Brown, her granddaughter Lizzie, and Laure Primeau. Hopefully they all have safe travels as Eleanor and Oliver head off to Paris to find Daniel and the Spirit Hunters. But man, these Hellhounds are scarier than I remember them. I do remember Eleanor getting her hand back though. But how long will it last?

(after ch. 1) Man, it's been years since I've touched this book. I wanted to come back to and finish this book sooner, yet somehow, time slipped away from me. Still, Patience could use a lesson in manners. At least her sister Mercy is a lot kinder and, well, more merciful. But Marcus will be hot on Eleanor's heels sooner or later. And I am not ready for Mrs. Fitt to hurt her daughter. Again...
