Status Updates From Schwarz (Der dunkle Turm, #1)

GS killed everyone in the town of Tull after they chased him in a religious frenzy. He left & met the redheaded guy W the bird in the desert (he was recounting his time in Tull). Then he wandered the desert, ran out of water, but found two small buildings. An 11-yo boy was there. He was starting to forget his background (from NYC, walking to school was killed by the MIB & appeared in the desert). GS told him to join.
