Status Updates From The New Jim Crow

I wanted to find out more about Jim Crow, because people talk about it like you know what it was. But I haven’t found a book called ‘the Jim Crow era’ so I’m hoping this one gives me a bit of info about it. Not sure - already and a TON of references to Jim Crow and I still am vague on what that means. Let’s see, I’m still technically at the contents having read the forward, preface, and introduction
