I found this version of Alice interesting — for about half this book. Then the story became a bit of a slog and I put the book down. I’ve waited three months, and I have no interest in picking it back up again.
It’s a fine story and it’s told well enough. It just became too slow.

Just under halfway. Definitely not as good as Philippa Gregory, but not bad.
