She runs out on a wedding to OLD rich guy and falls in with John Kowalsky a player on the team. One night together she thinks he cares for her and is half in love with him. She is naive and inexperienced in life and is crushed when he takes her to the airport and sends her home the next day. He has his own ghosts and doesn't mean to be a giant ass but well that is what he is to her.

Super story so much like Susan Elizabeth Phillips Chicago Stars series. The main characters have good hearts. Georgeanne Howard grew up being told she had brain disorder, it was really dyslexia but when she was a child she was treated like she was stupid and no one expected anything from her. She however is beautiful so was pushed to get by on her looks.

Wow this reminds me so much of a Susan Elizabeth Phillips book it's great and very sweet.
