Status Updates From Charles Dickens

I was recently invited to join the Goodreads group "The Dickensians," and I am now reading Dicken's second novel, NICHOLAS NICOLBY. It was originally written in installments like his first, THE PICKWICK PAPERS. This book was a suggested reading. I am astonished by how different my vision of Dicken's childhood up to age 10 was from his real life. Simon Callow makes Dickens come alive. Captivating and enlightening!
