All in all, this was a helpful interview guide mostly pointing out how to turn a negative to a positive point and don't get rattled with probing questions. Just stay calm and collected and use your logic in answering interview questions.

Maybe this book is a bit too old and outdated but I don't see the STAR method here. Most of the suggested answers only provides explanation. It rarely suggests to give real-life experiences. Questions here are mostly hypothetical and theoretical in approach and will only appear in your interview with HR professionals since they want to look into your personality, cognitive abilities and motivations.

Nevertheless, this was a helpful interview book primarily teaching you not to rattle, apply logical reasoning, and try as much as possible to relate your past experiences to the role you're applying. Ultimately, you should never badmouth your previous employer nor your previous role because you will come across as ungrateful and it will reflect negatively on you.

Some of the questions are old school while some has withstood the test of time and became the classic and fundamental questions. Just like how nobody nowadays would ask you what your strengths and weaknesses are but the classic "Tell me about yourself" is still there.

Interview questions evolved over time and are now more focused on behavioral and situational questions based on the role.
