So far this book has all my pet peeves. 1 dimensional characters, rushed exposition, an entire chapter dedicated to world lore

imma be honest, I barely read this past hour cause I was busy getting tipsy and drinking with my man

like seriously!!! the tag line of the book is "sing and the darkness will find you." and she sings on page 18 like DUDE we're doing too much to early. SLOW DOWN

it says MC was on an island with someone named Norrie. idk who Norrie is, but apparently the two survived a ship wreck that k!lled Lucy's mom 8 years ago. but somehow they have a working kitchen on this desolate island, in a house, w/ multiple rooms. and Lucy gets off the island on page 20. y'all have been there 8 years & she gets off the island at page 20?? seems wayyyyy to rushed for me rn

It has me hooked and I don't wanna put it down but it's 4:30 in the morning and I gotta get some shuteye.
