More than anything else, I really didn't realize how much literacy content I could wring out of old nursery rhymes and I'm real excited to try Sing a Song of Sixpence again but this time talk about alliteration or something instead of just throwing it at them like a rock that none of them know how to sing because it's not as common as Hey Diddle Diddle.
No one knew the melody to Hey Diddle Diddle either, actually...

Paraphrasing, but "you shouldn't be a presenter or entertainer, you should be a facilitator! You should have puppets for everyone! You should have handouts and things! :D"
ooof not at my library, not with the enormous size of our storytimes and how, uh, *restrictive* the rules appear to be about handouts right now. They used to do this, but now they very very VERY much do not

I have only 14 pages left to go. I put that I am on page 263 of 276 but actually we jumped around reading this book for a class on Storytime that I took for work. I actually need to finish reading pages 56-70, then I'll be done the whole book.
