It's so upsetting seeing how she may have post-partum anxiety and at the heart of it just wants her baby to be safe. and when she begins to write about this, not about her husband being controlling or the wallpaper, she changes the subject within 3 lines. It makes me sad.

the way these scenes are phrased makes my skin crawl with the amount of literal and mental control men had over their wives, making them feel insane and the horrible things women have endured at the patriarchal centre of healthcare.
