I know that somewhere lives a beautiful, intellectual, gracious, charming woman who has eight children, bakes her own bread, takes care of her own house, does her cooking, brings up her children, holds down a demanding 9-5 job at the decision-making level in a man's field and is adored by her equally successful husband because she comes home at night, slips into a filmy negligee and turns instanter into a Playboy.

I still don't get it, the Alyx stories but will persevere. Unique writer.

I don't know that I get the Alyx stories, but they are definitely interesting.

Finished the 1st of the Alyx stories. Not sure what to make of it yet.

Finished the 3rd story in this collection, On Strike Against God. The 1st two were Sci Fi. This is quite different. It deals with self - discovery, feminism, lesbianism, internal struggle. I'd give it 4 stars.. Next is a collection of short stories, The Complete Alyx Stories. What can they be about?

The 2nd story, We Who Are About To... is finished. I think I preferred it to The Female Man. Interesting story about a group that land on a planet and their interactions. Narrated by one of the women and how the situation devolves into catastrophe... Interesting. Next is On Strike Against God...
