Status Updates From Das System Der Dinge

the parts on models/series, credit and advertising elevate this book, it’s a lot more interesting now.

he makes valid points about the production of useless crap just to keep the exploitative system of capitalism at work. i disagree with his diagnosis of human consumption and that its psychology is rooted in some sort of sexual perversion. i’ll just chalk that up to his frenchness, of course we know that french philosophers generally are sexual deviants. the real reason is quite simple: brainwashing.
