Status Updates From The Rocky Horror Picture Show

So far this book is obviously written through the gaze of a straight white (possibly Jewish) man. I’m both curious and skeptical at this form of analysis because the lens he is looking through is obviously not one made for a punk queer show. He even spends most of the intro complaining he doesn’t get it, which makes me distrust. We will see.

The story started out strong and ended just as strongly. It had a great plot with nice twists and amazing characters. Overall it was just very intriguing.

I love how weird the story is and how fast it can switch topics. Especially between affairs and murder and missing peoples but not in an overly serious way. It's almost comedic.

The writing is good and it's nice to see characters start acting as their true selves as the settle into their situation.

I appreciate the horror-esque things the the Frank-N-Furter place mixed together with the normalcy of Brad and Janet. It gives it a nice change.

Nicely introduces characters with a seemingly normal plot minus those from the Frank N. Furter place.
