An interesting read, even though my area of interest is the 3rd Dynasty and most of the interest centers on later dynasties, like the 18th, which is when young King Tut ruled. Still packed with pictures and information, and a good reference for my work.

Well I read Part 1 and Part 3 of this book. The remaining Part 2 is basically written like an atlas of the geography of Egypt and I will likely never read through it completely. It just makes more sense to flip through it for interesting segments or look up specific locations if there's a reason to. My Goodreads "reading" section is destined to forever look like a Skyrim quest log.

The overview of Egyptian history from the earliest times to the end of the Roman Empire is wonderful. Worth the read. I'm hoping the later sections fascinate as much.
