Maigret is so mesmerized by the beautiful azure sea that he can barely focus on the murder case. The dead but very rich Australian immigrant guy seemed to have had two families of women on the Côte d’Azur living in separate towns He’d spend a couple of weeks here, a few days there. Who knows? There might still be a lot of that going around even today.

Very good. I like the character l’Inspecteur Boutigues rather a lot. Divine scene of crime setting in Antibes, Cap d’Antibes, Cannes and Juan-Les-Pins !
