I understand the rating…it was a struggle despite how short it was. It became clear that the chemistry between characters was not there. The whole “climax” was so weak that I skimmed. I rarely skim but to sit thru a full last hour seemed to be too painful. I cant find a good book to read these days. Every little micro problem is bothering me. It’s just not my month for books. ⭐️⭐️

So far it’s average. Just barely keeping me invested but it’s short so it has that. There’s a couple of overall inconsistencies with the MC being similar to the last one where the abuse doesn’t affect daily life. Current ones better but she’s still not making decisions as if she’s been in an abusive relationship for two years

I guess I’ll find out why it’s rated so low. I need anything to get me out of my reading slump so I don’t end this month in seven books read. I won’t do it. I gotta make it to double digits. It’s just so hard to focus right now and actually find good interesting books to read. I’ve false started on so many
